The Lighthouse Chamber Players has had a commitment to community outreach for the past ten years. We have brought classical chamber music to senior or disabled audience members who are unable to attend concerts on their own or to young audiences who have not had much exposure to classical music.
Some of the venues where we have performed have been Thirwood Place, Heatherwood Place, Brewster Day Camp, Latham School, Dennis Council on Aging, Truro Council on Aging, Brooks Library in Harwich, Wellfleet Public Library, Wellfleet Recreational Center, Eastham Council on Aging.
We present a popular annual Family Concert in the Wellfleet Public Library which consists of children performing for children.
Our summer season outreach programs have been funded by the Community Foundation of Cape Cod, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, Cape Cod Five Charitable Foundation, and Cape Cod Bank & Trust, Brewster Community Council, Friends of Wellfleet Libraries, among others.
